The Original NMI (National Men's Institute) was - and still is - a group of [generally retired] chaps who get together once a month for a gentle bicycle ride with a stop for tea/coffee and a cake, usually starting from Crowthorne. Occasionally an extra excursion will be undertaken (such as our trip to Brooklands or Fawley Hill railway).
From this grew the aspiration to start a Men's Shed in Wokingham Without.
Hence that project is titled "Crowthorne & Wokingham Without NMI Men's Shed".
It must be stressed that the Original NMI is a completely separate entity from the Shed project.
Below you will find details of the next planned ride and Blogs describing our exploits:
Next NMI Ride
The date of the April NMI Ride is complicated as the 3rd Monday of April is Easter Monday.
Therefore Ray will lead 2 rides this month. On 14th & 28th April. Starting at the Morgan Rec carpark.
Don't forget your crash helmet!
If you would like to join us for the first time then simply check the meeting point here shortly before the ride date and just turn up on your bike (with your crash helmet)! No need to book.
Participation in NMI activities is done entirely at your own risk.
NMI Blogs etc
